Amalgamations

In Amalgamations (2018), I picked objects at random from my college dorm room and created pseudo-sculptures out of them in a studio setting. I wanted to look at the ways my “stuff” defines me, and how we generally construct meaning in a material world that’s full of randomness & disorder. Meaning is something we construct from our own subjective experience, and in this short series I wanted to allude to and play with this very human phenomenon.
